Vape and pre-roll Growth in 2021

This is a chart showing the growth trends of vape in the cannabis market in 2021, with all-in-one disposable being the fastest growing category in the market.

The total market grew 18.4 %

Flower grew 11.5%, with sales growing from $4.92 billion in 2020 to $5.49 billion in 2021.

Vape grew 28.1% to a total retail market of $2.6 billion.

Pre roll grow 38.9% sales rose to $1.42 billion.

Food rose 20.4% as sales rose to $1.37 billion from $1.14 billion.

Vape-all in one disposable grow 64%,Pre-roll from the fourth category to the third category, displacing food in the top three income categories.

Vape’s target demographic

According to Brightfield data, Vape products are “extremely popular” with younger U.S. consumers: nearly half (47%) of U.S. cannabis Vape consumers are under the age of 35. As with Vapes, 47% of pre-roll consumers in the U.S. are under the age of 35, according to Brightfield’s MacIver.

End User Indicates monthly consumption

According to MacIver, Vape consumers are willing to spend more on cannabis per month. 51.5% of VAPE consumers spend more than $150 a month on marijuana. Only 42.8 % of the total cannabis consumer population spent more than $150 per person per month.
